Éliane Radigue (born 1932, Paris) is one of the most important composers working in contemporary music today. Since the 1960s, her work has investigated the fabric of sound itself, focusing upon harnessing feedback and the ultra-subtle movements of fragile harmonics in relation to a constant tone. For approximately forty years, Radigue's work was created exclusively using electronic equipment (beginning in the 70s, primarily using an ARP 2500 modular synthesizer and tape).

03.06 // 4:00pm

Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

(7001 Santa Monica Blvd)

Please join us on Sunday March 6th, for a poetry reading with artist and poet Karl Holmqvist. Karl will be reading from
#GIVEPOETRYATRYCOLLECTEDPOETRY1990-2020..., a collection of 30 years of his poems.

The reading also serves as a two-years delayed celebration of the opening of Karl's site-specific poem cum facade wrapping around LAXART. In order to fully appreciate the facade, this event will not be hosted at LAXART but instead, across the street at Shakey's Pizza Parlor. Following the reading, Karl and LAXART Director, Hamza Walker, will discuss the facade in further depth. Karl will also be signing a small collection of books and posters.
