Founded as LAXART in 2005 to support emerging artists and under-recognized, mid-career artists, The Brick is expanding its mission to encompass thematic exhibitions that engage with key issues of our time. With the belief that contemporary art is a means to understanding the present, The Brick is a forum for discourse that begins amongst its members.
The Brick supports developments in contemporary art through its exhibitions. While our regular public programs are designed to contextualize those developments, our members-only offerings provide perspectives on the field of contemporary art as a whole. Through intimate access to artists, curators, critics, and art historians, members will gain insight into questions driving the field.
Alongside our Board, members are The Brick’s core support. They are integral to our ability to fulfill our mission as membership contributions underwrite all The Brick’s programmatic activities. Please join us.
